TEFA Therapy in Katy, TX | The Reclaimed Collective
Helping Texas Families Access Specialized Therapy Through TEFA
Your child deserves support that meets them where they are. And finding the right support shouldn't feel like another full-time job.
The Reclaimed Collective is a specialized therapy practice serving children, teens, individuals, and families in Katy and greater West Houston. As a participating TEFA marketplace provider, we help families explore whether eligible services through our practice may be accessed using Texas Education Freedom Account funds.
Whether your child is navigating emotional or behavioral challenges, a difficult transition, trauma, family stress, or questions that are hard to put into words, our team offers thoughtful, individualized care that recognizes the whole person—not just the presenting concern.

Bilingual Therapy for Children, Teens, and Families
Finding the right therapist means finding someone who understands your child's needs, respects your family's experiences, and helps you identify a path forward.
Annette Beltran, LCSW — Bilingual English and Spanish Therapist
Annette provides therapy in both English and Spanish, helping children, adolescents, and families access support in the language that feels most comfortable to them. With five years of experience in high-acuity school and correctional settings, Annette brings experience supporting individuals navigating emotional challenges, difficult life transitions, and complex circumstances.
Annette works with children ages six and older, teens, and other clients within her clinical scope. Her approach emphasizes emotional regulation, practical coping strategies, relationship skills, and identifying meaningful next steps. For Spanish-speaking families in Katy and West Houston, bilingual care can help make conversations about mental wellness more accessible and collaborative.
Elizabeth Westbrook, LCSW, NPT-C — Specialized Trauma and Sexual Wellness Therapist
Elizabeth Westbrook is the founder of The Reclaimed Collective and a licensed clinical social worker, neuropsychotherapy practitioner, and adjunct professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work.
Elizabeth specializes in trauma-informed care, including betrayal trauma, religious trauma, sexual shame, relationship concerns, and the ways difficult experiences can affect emotional and relational well-being. Her approach integrates nervous-system regulation, trauma-informed interventions, and practical strategies tailored to each client's needs.
Elizabeth believes therapy should be a space where people can ask difficult questions, work through complicated experiences, and move toward meaningful change without shame or judgment. Her work is grounded in respect for client autonomy, individual values, and each person's unique story.
For families exploring TEFA, our team can help identify the appropriate clinical starting point, discuss available services, and clarify which questions need to be addressed before using account funds.
TEFA Therapy FAQ: Using Your Texas Education Freedom Account for Solution-Focused Therapy
At The Reclaimed Collective, we know navigating a new funding program can feel overwhelming. These frequently asked questions help families understand how to explore solution-focused therapy for their child or teen and determine whether a specific service qualifies for Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) funding.
The Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program provides eligible Texas families with funds for approved education-related expenses, which may include qualifying educational therapies. The Texas Comptroller oversees the program, and Odyssey administers the marketplace and accounts.
Not every therapy service automatically qualifies. Families should verify the eligibility of the specific service before requesting payment.
What is TEFA?
1
The Reclaimed Collective participates in the TEFA marketplace. Families interested in our solution-focused therapy services should contact us to discuss their child's needs and verify that the specific service and payment arrangement are eligible under current TEFA rules.
Participation in the marketplace does not guarantee that every service we offer can be purchased with TEFA funds.

Solution-focused therapy emphasizes strengths, goals, practical strategies, and achievable next steps. Instead of focusing exclusively on what's going wrong, therapy helps children, teens, and families identify what they want to change, recognize what's already working, and build on their existing resources.
Depending on the child's needs and the clinician's approach, sessions may address emotional regulation, ADHD support, coping skills, family communication, school-related stress, difficult transitions, and problem-solving.
Our goal is to help families identify meaningful goals and work toward practical changes that support their child's well-being.

We understand that privacy matters, especially when you're seeking mental health support for your child or teen. At The Reclaimed Collective, we take the confidentiality of your family's information and the protection of your child's therapy documentation seriously.
Using Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) to purchase an eligible therapy service through the Odyssey marketplace involves sharing certain information needed to process the purchase request and administer the program. Submitting a TEFA request does not mean that everyone involved in the program automatically has access to your child's complete therapy record.
The information shared through the marketplace may differ from the clinical information maintained by your therapist. Your therapy documentation is handled according to applicable privacy laws, professional confidentiality requirements, and our practice's policies.
Depending on the circumstances, information may be disclosed when required or permitted by law, including applicable legal reporting obligations, valid legal process, and authorized disclosures. Parents and legal guardians may have certain rights to access a minor's records, but those rights are not unlimited and can depend on the child's age, the circumstances of treatment, and applicable Texas law.
Before submitting a TEFA purchase request, families are encouraged to review Odyssey's privacy information and the program's documentation requirements so they understand what information may be collected, used, or shared.
At The Reclaimed Collective, we believe families should be able to ask questions about confidentiality without feeling uncomfortable. If you have concerns about privacy, clinical records, or the information needed for TEFA payment, contact our team before submitting your request. We can explain our practice's documentation and privacy policies and help you identify questions that should be directed to the program administrator.
Your family's privacy matters. We aim to provide thoughtful care while handling sensitive information responsibly and transparently.
