Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer a range of solutions designed to meet your needs—whether you're just getting started or scaling something bigger. Everything is tailored to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

  • This means helping the client align their public and private identity with their own beliefs and values, rather than pushing for a specific outcome (like changing orientation or adopting a gay identity).

  • We do not offer conversion therapy, nor do we believe it is a psychologically sound or ethical practice. Our practice is rooted in prioritizing client autonomy and psychological flourishing over a predetermined outcome of orientation change. it is our belief that “gay to straight” is not the goal-rather christ-likeness, or continued sanctification for our clients who are christian-devout, discovering, deconstructing, or anywhere in between.

  • No. You do not need to be Christian — or religious at all — to work with RE:CO. We work with individuals from a wide range of belief systems, including those who are deconstructing, spiritually wounded, unsure what they believe, or no longer connected to faith communities. Many clients come to us after experiencing church hurt, spiritual abuse, or shame-based harm, and we take those experiences seriously. Therapy at RE:CO is not about convincing you to return to faith or “fix” your beliefs; it’s about helping you understand how those experiences have impacted your body, relationships, sexuality, and sense of self — and supporting healing based off your therapy goals.

  • We support access by offering transparent pricing, so clients know what to expect without hidden costs or confusion. We intentionally maintain sliding scale availability whenever possible to help reduce financial barriers, recognizing that access to care is not equally distributed.

We also work to increase access through multiple service locations, mini-sessions (25 min) to support clients quickly between their personal and professional demands, telehealth options when appropriate, and non-traditional scheduling, including late-evening sessions and limited weekend availability. Head over to our “therapy” tab to choose the option that meets your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • RE:CO is not a general mental health practice, per se. While many of our clients experience anxiety, depression, grief, substance misuse, or stress alongside sexual or trauma concerns, we are best suited for individuals and couples whose primary presenting concern is related to trauma and/or sexual health.

  • If your primary presenting concern is substance misuse, grief, anxiety, or depression, we will help connect you with one of our trusted referral partners. We maintain a robust referral network of clinicians who specialize in those areas so you can receive the most appropriate level of care. This allows us to remain focused on our clinical expertise while ensuring you are supported — not left searching on your own.

  • Yes. We work with individuals, couples, and families, including blended and high-conflict family systems, particularly when sexual health, trauma, betrayal, or attachment injuries are part of the relational landscape.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.
